Some pensioners were old veterans of the Civil War; others were mothers, widows, and children of veterans and 2 listed were pensioners as surviving veterans or kinfolks of the War of l812........ David P. (Preston) Taylor was a veteran of the War of l812 and lived well over the age of 100 years. Leticia Hughes was a surviving widow of an old veteran of the 1812 War but I do not know for sure what her husband's name was.
