Frank Farnham, a prominent and well-to-do farmer, died at his home 1 ½ miles west of Iberia on the Iberia-Brumley road Thursday evening October 20, from the effects of Bright's Disease.
Frank was born January 3, 1881, being at the time of his death 46 years, 9 months and 17 days old. He was a member of the Baptist Church and was also a member of the M.W.A.
He was the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Farnham of Iberia, who survive him. He lived on a farm all of his life. He was married August 13, 1900, to Rosa Adams, and to this union two children were born, Evelyn (Mrs. Jesse Bond), and Edna (Mrs. Emil Pemberton). Mrs. Bond has been an invalid for nearly four years. Mr. Farnham leaves to mourn his death, besides those mentioned above, two brothers, H. I. Farnham of Iberia and Stanley Farnham of St. Louis, and three sisters, Mrs. Laura Williams of Iberia, Mrs. O.W. Wright of Jefferson City and Mrs. Walter Short of Springfield. All were present at the funeral which was held at the home, except Stanley.
While Mr. Farnham had been afflicted for some time, it was not known that his condition was so serious until Thursday morning, as he was in Iberia on Wednesday afternoon and drove his car home by himself.
A large number of his friends were present at the funeral to pay their last respects. The line of cars in the funeral procession was more than half a mile long.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W.A. Roberts of the Congregational Church and Rev. J. A. McNail of the Nazarene Church. Burial was made in the Iberia Cemetery.
